He felt weak and tired at the end of the day
“Its office stress;” he shrugged away
Leg cramp, backache, drowsy feel
“Bad office chair;” no big deal
Itchy thick skin, putting on weight
“Allergy and obesity is a family trait”
Dozing off at boardroom meet
“Night spent on facebook, whatsapp, tweet”
Tucked in the neck, like a bowtie
Thyroid gland looks like a cute butterfly
It takes in Iodine from salt and food
Thyroid hormone it reliably extrude
Thyroid hormone maintain body heat,
The pep, the spark, the drive to compete
Lack of thyroid hormone result
Actions slow, mind tend to rust
Diverse disease, no thread to fit,
Thyroid may be the real culprit
Once in a while, go get a check
To make sure the butterfly in the neck
Remain 'metabolic active', fiddle and fit
To sustain your smile and razor-sharp wit.
